Interfaith Lake County brings people together to pray

Interfaith Lake County was formed to bring people of all religions together to pray for peace and unity countywide. Today, it holds the same vision and promotes it through Peace Prayer Services, as its members and board continue to look for ways to provide more opportunities for people to get involved and put their prayers to action.

Who We Are

The first organizing efforts behind the Interfaith Council of Lake County began weeks before June 12, 2016, but it can be said that Interfaith Lake County, as it exists today, can credit its strong beginning to the community's reaction to the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando, Florida. Metropolitan Orlando is located adjacent to and just south of Lake County, Florida. The population of Lake County is older than Orlando and predominantly white. Most of the people in Lake County are Christians with a few Jews and Muslims.read more
